I grew up in Morehead City, NC. A coastal town similar to Beaufort. I’m a child of divorce, and understand first hand how emotional divorce and child custody can be. On the other hand, I was lucky to have a mom and grandparents who provided me a wonderful childhood. My neighborhood was an extended family and summer days were spent enjoying the sandbars in Bogue Sound.
Following college I worked in broadcast journalism, then transitioned into marketing and printing. As a small business owner, a highlight was overseeing and bringing the community together to collect and deliver several tons of food and supplies to residents of Eastern North Carolina following Hurricane Mathew.
Although I enjoyed helping business owners and non-profits grow their business, I sought a bigger challenge – one where I could help others on a more personal level.
After years of contemplating law school, I made the move and attended Charleston School of Law. The Lowcountry of South Carolina has always been a special place as my grandmother was born and raised in Summerville, where my mom was born also. I am thrilled to finally call the South Carolina Lowcountry home.
Outside of law, I enjoy the salt air and marshes of Beaufort, being entertained by my loveable dogs – Clifford and Murff, and spending time with family.
